Panic of 2020 (follow up)

May 9, 2020

God has shown us over the last 90 days just how quickly and easily our free country can be turned into a Police State where government can close businesses and churches and imprison us in our own homes.

To keep this in mind, I’m flying my flag every day —
1. Until most Americans are over the Panic of 2020;
2. Until most businesses are up and running again;
3. Until God’s children truly realize the danger of allowing the media and government to make us live in fear.

I pray that I can put my flag away for a time after July 4th and once again only bring it out for holidays and special occasions.

I pray for those who lead our cities, counties, states, the nation and our churches to realize what they have done by giving into irrational fear and destroying our peace of mind and our economy.

I pray for God to give them wisdom and understanding so that they will not again fall prey to the false prophecies of the “experts” and the fear-mongering of the politicians and media figures — some who hate this country like it is and who love chaos and use such things to enhance their power.

I pray that our nation will survive and perhaps even grow stronger.

I pray for all Americans and our children and grandchildren –that God will grant us the wisdom and courage to stand up more strongly for our freedom and our faith and teach our children and all others who are willing to listen. Teach them how important our freedom is and how to recognize the evil of fear-mongers and power-hungry politicians.

Likewise, teach them about the peace and contentment that only comes with our faith in God and following His ways.

Some asked why I don’t fly the flag 24/7 and mentioned that they fly theirs more often. It’s just a personal idiosyncrasy. The flag is very special to me (Vietnam veteran and a life-long-patriot) but I only fly it on special occasions.

More power to those who fly it 24/7 or put it up and take it down every day; it’s great whatever you do to honor our country — the first in history to offer real freedom to us, the “common people”.

I’m just so disappointed that such a huge percentage of us have lost their faith in everything (including God, it seems to me). They have been scared out of their minds — literally!

(Who hoards toilet paper, hand sanitizer? Who scarfs up all the wipes – even baby wipes from the grocery shelves and many other items? Who lets the media and false prophet “experts” make you afraid to touch your own face and much less to hug your family and friends? Who just complacently lets the governments close down your businesses and/or put you out of your jobs without you “raising cane” about it?)

I hope we will all come back to our senses but “the jury is still out”!

I’m asking God to help us all calm down and see where the real danger lies — it’s in losing our freedom and the ability of many to earn a living. Every time I see my flag during the day, I renew that prayer. We really need God’s help with this.

I’m hoping that in a few weeks, perhaps by Independence Day July 4th, the insanity will have left most of us. I’ll put my flag up for a time until a special occasion or when I just want to see it again.
